Fees
At HU Hochschulsport there are three participant categories:
- Students (HU Berlin and cooperating Berlin universities)
- Staff (HU Berlin employees)
- Externals / Alumni (former students and external participants)
Fees vary depending on the course, but the same three categories always apply.
Our price structure is based on course costs (resources, instructors, equipment).
The fee covers the entire course. There are no flat rates.
If payment is not received before the deadline given during registration, the booking will be cancelled. You will be informed
by email.
Any money transferred too late will not be taken into account. However, you may join the waiting list for another place.
Course language
Most courses are taught in German, but many are suitable for international participants.
Courses marked with (EN) in the title are offered in English.
If no language is indicated, the course is held in German.
Trial sessions
Unfortunately, trial sessions are not possible.
Only participants who have registered and paid for a course can take part in Sport and Recreation activities
Alternative dates
If a course has to be cancelled (for example, due to illness of the course leader), the Hochschulsport team will try to find a
replacement or offer an alternative date whenever possible.
If this is not successful, the course may unfortunately have to be cancelled.
Your course leader will inform you directly if a replacement date is being offered
Health insurance billing
Health insurance schemes will not cover the entire costs of a course, but in some cases will offer a discount. There is also a bonus booklet that we can stamp, but this does not apply to all courses. For this reason, please ask your health insurance scheme in advance.
The Sport and Recreation programmes offered are not considered prevention courses as described in section 20 SGB V.
Waiting list
If a course is fully booked, you can join the ‘waiting list’ by providing your email address and registering for Hochschulsports notification service. As soon as a place becomes free on your chosen course, everyone on the waiting list will be informed by email at the same time. The person, which books first, will receive the free place.
Course leader contact
For data protection reasons, the email addresses of course leaders cannot be given out to participants. To contact a course leader, please email hochschulsport@hu-berlin.de. It will be forwarded to the relevant coach.
Sports partner exchange
The Hochschulsport website has a sports partner exchange where you can find a dance partner or team member, or view requests from other athletes.
